Gen X's Friendships!

 

Friendships in the 70s and 80s were mainly face-to-face and depended on physical closeness. They were formed in public spaces such as streets, squares or schools, and communication was analog, based on calls to landlines or scheduled meetings. Meeting new people required initiative at parties or through mutual contacts. They were lasting bonds, built with time, and required patience and commitment, since there were no immediate ways to change plans.
